Sixth Form

We are justifiably proud of our students' achievements and believe that their success is based on striking the correct balance between the freedom that students want and the support needed in order for them to realise their true potential.

Our examination results are excellent across the full range of A-level and GNVQ courses that we offer and most of our students progress onto further education and university.

We draw the majority of our students from the main school but each year we take a significant number of students from other schools. Since the routines and procedures are very different from pre-16 education it is effectively a new start for everyone.

We expect our students to be motivated and work hard at their studies but also many opportunities for involvement and displays of initiative! It's a lively place. There's always plenty to get involved in by way of activities, projects, debate and whole-school issues. We offer a chance to progress to work, higher education or further education with well-rounded personal statements and distinguished references.
